Given secA - tanA = 1/2----( 1 )
=> We know the Trigonometric
identity ,
sec²A - tan²A = 1
=> (secA+tanA)(secA-tanA)=1
=> (secA+tanA)×(1/2) = 1
=> secA+tanA= 2----(2)
add equations (1)&(2),we get
2secA = 1/2+2
=> 2secA = (1+4)/2
=> secA = 5/4
