pls answer! 20 points! The diagram below shows a polythene ball that has been charged with electrons hanging
from a thread. A polythene rod, also charged with electrons, is brought closer to the
hanging rod.

a) Suggest what will happen to the hanging ball
b) What will happen if a rod is brought near to the hanging ball that has the opposite charge?

a) it will repel because of the electron- electron repulsion (both are negative)

b) it will be attracted because opposite charges attract each other (positive and negative)
