Bases are same so by comparing powers,
3 + (-6) = 2x- 1 [a^m * a^n = a^m+n]
3-6 = 2x-1
-3 = 2x-1
-3+1 = 2x
-2 = 2x
-2/2 = x
-1 = x

Therefore, x = -1

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

x^2 = 2^x

x = (2^x)^1/2

2^x = x^2

2 = (x^2)^1/x

x^2 = 2^x

(2^x)^1/2 = (x^2)^1/x

x = 2

Or just by guess and check

If x = 2 then (2)^2 = 2^(2).
