The sum of the ages of Ajeet and Ajay is 40 years. After 10 years, Ajeet will be twice as old as Ajay. Find the present ages of Ajeet and Ajay.

let Ajeet age is x then Ajay age will be (40-x)
after 10 years
ajeet = (x + 10) and ajay = (40-x+10) = (50-x)
according to question
(x+10) = 2× (50-x)
x+10 = 100-2x
3x = 90 or x= 30
ajeet age = 30 and ajay age is 10
