Step-by-step explanation:

In first Figure,

Angle ABC = 180° - 120° (Linear Pair)

= 60°

Now, + 60° = 112° (Exterior angle property of a Triangle)

=> x° = 52°

---------------------------------------------------------------------

In Second Figure,

Angle ACB = 180° - 110° ( Linear Pair)

= 70°

Angle ABE

= 120° = x° + 70° (Exterior angle property of a Triangle)

=> = 120° - 70°

=> x = 50°

---------------------------------------------------------------------

In Third figure,

Angle ADC = Angle BAE = 52°

(Since BA || DC)

Now in Triangle DEC,

Angle DEC + Angle ECD + Angle EDC = 180°

( Angle sum property of a Triangle)

=> + 40° + 52° = 180°

=> x = 180° - 92°

=> x = 88°

---------------------------------------------------------------------

In Last figure, draw a perpendicular from D which join E.

So Angle DEC + Angle DCE + Angle EDC = 180°

(Angle sum property of a Triangle)

=> 90° + 50° + Angle EDC = 180°

=> 140° + Angle EDC = 180°

=> Angle EDC = 180° - 140°

=> Angle EDC = 40°

Now, Angle x + 40° = 180° (Linear Pair)

=> x = 180° - 40°

=> x = 140°
