CotB = Base / Perpendicular

=> CotB  = BD/AD

=> CotB = BD/4

Similarly in ΔACD

CotB = Base / Perpendicular

=> CotC  = CD/AD

=> CotB = CD/4

CotB + CotC = BD/4 + CD/4

=>CotB + CotC = (BD + CD)/4

=> CotB + CotC = (BC)/4

=>  CotB + CotC = 12/4

=> CotB + CotC = 3
