PROOF
AB=CD (opposite sides of a parallelogram)
AB/2=CD/2(halves of equals are equal)
so,AE=CF
AE is also parallel to CF (because AB is parallel to DC and AE and CF are also a part of same line. It is just that line has been extended.  A line can be extended infinitely)
WE KNOW THAT,
IN A QUADRILATERAL IF ONE PAIR OF OPPOSITE SIDES IS EQUAL AND PARALLEL, IT IS A PARALLELOGRAM.
so, AECF IS A PARALLELOGRAM.
IN triangle, DQC,
F IS THE MID POINT
FP IS PARALLEL TO QC.
USING THE CONVERSE OF MID POINT THEOREM
A LINE DRAWN THROUGH MID POINT OF ONE SIDE OF A TRIANGLE, PARALLEL TO THE OTHER SIDE BISECTS THE THIRD SIDE.
