The attached photo shows a circuit consisting of 2 resistors namely R1 and R2 connected in parallel.

You can understand this by the following rule :

  • Resistor R1 is attached to a potential difference between terminals X and Y

  • Similarly Resistance R2 is attched between the terminals X and Y .

So the potential difference across both the resistors are same. Hence they are in \boxed{\large{\red{Parallel\: Combination}}}

We can also simply the circuit diagram and thereby , you can understand it. Refer to the attached diagram .
