An arrow pointing up (as in CO2↑)indicates that the product will form a gas that will bubble out of a solution. An arrow pointing down (as in PbI2↓)indicates that the product will spontaneously precipitate from the solution.

Option b) Formation of Precipitate

iamalpha: explain the concept
angela36: Okay
angela36: In chemistry, a precipitate is an insoluble solid that emerges from a liquid solution. The emergence of the insoluble solid from solution is called precipitation. Often the precipitate emerges as a suspension. Precipitates can form when two soluble salts react in solution to form one or more insoluble products.
