For real and equal roots Descrimnant is equal to 0

Given Quadratic Equation is

k(x² + 9) - 3x = 0

kx² + 9k - 3x = 0

kx² - 3x + 9k = 0

Descrimnant = (-3)² - 4(k)(9k)

Descrimnant = 9 -36k²

Descrimnant = 0 For real and Equal roots

9 - 36k² = 0

36k² = 9

k² = 1/4

k = 1/2 OR k = -1/2
