Here is your answer :-

 \frac{x + y}{xy}  = 2 \\ x + y = 2xy  \\  \\ now \\ \\  \frac{x - y}{xy}  = 6 \\ x - y = 6xy
By solving it with elimination method , we get

2x = 8xy

y = 2/8 = 1/4 .-----(1)

but this value in x + y = 2xy

x +1/4 = 2x × 1/4

4x + 1 / 4 = x/2

8x +2 = 4x

4x = -2

x = -1/2
