Answer:

Area of the shaded figure is 246 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

From the properties of quadrilaterals & circles :

  • Area of rectangle = length x breadth
  • Area of circle = πr^2 , where r is the radius of the circle
  • Area of four quadrants of same radius = area of the circle formed of the same radius

= > Area of the shaded figure = Area of rectangle - area of 4 quadrants

= > Area of the shaded figure = ( 25 cm x 16 cm ) - π( 7 cm )^2 { area of quadrants of radius 7 cm = area of circle of radius 7 cm }

= > Area of the shaded figure = 400 cm^2 - 49π cm^2 = 400 cm^2 - 49( 22 / 7 ) cm^2

= > Area of the shaded figure = 400 cm^2 - 154 cm^2

= > Area of the shaded figure = 246 cm^2

Hence, area of the shaded figure is 246 cm^2.

Given :---

  • Length of Rectangular Paper sheet = 25cm.
  • Breadth of Rectangular Paper sheet = 16cm.
  • Radius of Quadrant = 7cm.

To Find :----

  • Shaded Area ?

Formula and Concept used :---

→ Area of Rectangle = Length * Breadth .

→ Four Quadrant of same radius will make One Circle with same radius .

→ Shaded Area = Area of Rectangle - Area of Circle with radius Equals to Radius of Quadrant .

______________________________

Solution :---

Putting values we get now,

Shaded Area = Area of Rectangle - Area of Circle with radius Equals to Radius of Quadrant .

→ shaded Area = ( 25 * 16 ) - ( 22/7 * 7 * 7 )

→ shaded Area = 400 - 154

→ Shaded Area = 246 cm² ..

Hence, Area of Shaded region inside Paper is 246cm².
