Solution:-As we are seeing in graph,,that AB is a straight line,so, slope of AB will he constant....

It shows that,

pressure is inversely proportional to volume because slope is negative

means,here volume is.increasing and pressure is decreasing

this will be only possible if matter will be gaseous state...

because if volume of gas will be increased then it's pressure will decrease...

Option3) can't be right because if the liquid will changed to gaseous state,,then pressure will be increase,,because a free gas molecule can apply more pressure then a liquid....

Option5) is wrong because to convert gas into liquid pressure should be increased

Option2) and option 1),may create confusion....

if volume will be increased in liquid or gaseous matter then it's pressure will he decreased

but as we are seeing,from the graph

in small change in volume (dv) leads to large change in pressure (∆v)

this can't be possible in gaseous form

because as we know

pv=nRt (considering as ideal gas)

p=nRT/v

so,if volume will change very less than pressure will also change very less

but pressure is changing at high rate

so,

it will never be gaseous matter

hence option1)✓

If we go by taking assumptions ....

1). option 2 can't be true as Gaseous state doesn't shows such rapid decrease in pressure.

2).option 4 also can't be true as Gaseous to liquid shows increase in pressure.

3). Change in state of matters doesn't show a rapid increase or decrease .... so 3 & 4 also cancel out.

So... the final option will be 1.

I can't explain this on notebook right now !
