Pls answer to thos question.......What is meant by monosporic development?

Hey Friend Here is your answer

When the female gametophyte (embryo sac) develops from a single megaspore, it is called monosporic development.

In monosporic development , out of four megaspores, only one functional megaspore develops into the female gametophyte, while the remaining three degenerate.
