Answer:

Mass of solute A = 2 g

Mass of solvent water = 18 g

Mass percent of solute = ( Mass of solute / Mass of solution ) * 100

= ( 2 / ( 2 + 18 ) ) * 100

= ( 2 / 20 ) * 100

= 0.1 * 100

= 10

Therefore , mass percent of solute = 10 %
