cot theta=12/5

cot theta=B/P=12/5

applying pythagoras theorem,

hypotenuse=122+52

=144+25=169

=>H=13

cosec theta=13/5,                sec theta=13/12

=>cosec theta+ sec theta=13/5+ 13/12

                                             =156+65/60=221/60

                                                  =3.684(approx)

Hey there!

Given,
5cot ∅ = 12

cot∅ = 12/5

Cot ∅ = Adjacent side/Opposite side = 12/5

Adjacent side = 12 and Opposite side = 5.

Applying Pythagoras therom,

12²+5² = √(144+25) = √169 = 13 = Hypotunese.

We got the sides.

Now, cosec ∅ = Hypotunese/Opposite side

= 13/5

And sec ∅ = Hypotunese/Adjacent side

= 13/12

Now, Cosec ∅ + Sec ∅ = 13/5+13/12

= 156+65/60

= 221/60

= 3.683333....

= 3.684 (Approx)
