IAS officer first of all means Indian Administrative Offcier. An IAS officer is also called as a collector. It is the highest rank in UPSC. To become an IAS officer one needs to have true spirit passion and strong tetermination. He/she works for the welfare of the nation and has a very high salary starting from 2 lakhs...perhaps.
