Hey friend,

The British period in India referred to as 'colonial'.

Because they ruled India and tool raw materials from India. They also divided India into colonies. Because of the colonial policies followed by Britishers, it is referred as a colonial.
I agree with this term because India divided into colonies and hence called as a colonial.

British period in India referred to as Colonial because under British rule people did not have equality, freedom or liberty. Nor was the period one of economic growth and progress. Many historians therefore refer to this period as colonial. I agree with this term because British subjugate India and leads to political, economic, social and cultural changes.
