The length of the side of the square will be 44 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that a wire is bent to form a circle of radius 28 cm. And, rebent to form a square.

As we are given with the radius of the circle, we can easily get the circumference( sum of outer length of the wire ) of the circle.

And, as we are rebent the same wire, its length can't be change.

Therefore the circumference of the circle should be equal to the perimeter of the square.

From the properties of square and circle :

Circumference of circle = 2π radius

Perimeter of the square = 4 x side

Therefore,

= > 2π radius = 4 side

= > 2 x ( 22 / 7 ) x 28 cm = 4 x side

= > 44 / 7 x 28 cm = 4 side

= > ( 44 x 28 cm ) / ( 7 x 4 ) = side

= > 44 cm = side

Hence the length of the side of the square will be 44 cm
