Qᴜᴇsᴛɪᴏɴ :-

The ratio of Students who Travel by school bus to the students who travel on their own is 9:11 . Find the percentage of the students who Travel on their own ?

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

→ Travel By bus : Travel on their own = 9 : 11

Let , Students Travel By bus & Travel by their own are 9x & 11x Respectively. .

So,

Total Students of school = Students Travel By bus + Travel on their own

→ Total Students of school = 9x + 11x

→ Total Students of school = 20x .

Therefore,

% Of students who Travel on Their own = (No. of students Travel on their own * 100) / Total Students of school .

→ Required % = (11x * 100) / 20x

→ Required % = 11 * 5

→ Required % = 55% (Ans.)

Hence, 55% Of students Travel on Their own..

AnswEr:-

Your Answer Is 55 Percent.

ExplanaTion:-

Given:-

  • The ratio of students who travelled by school bus to the students who travelled on their own = 9:11.

To Find:-

  • The percentage of the students who travelled on their own.

So let the numbet of students travelled by bus be 9x and the number of students who travelled on their own be 11x.

So total number of students,

\tt = 9x + 11x \\ \\ \tt = 20x.

Amd the number of students who travelled by their own = 11x.

\therefore The percentage of students who travelled by their own,

\tt = \frac{11\cancel {x}}{20\cancel{x}} \times 100 \: percent. \\ \\\tt = \frac{11}{2\cancel{0}} \times 10\cancel{0} \: percent. \\ \\ \tt = \frac{11}{\cancel{2}} \times \cancel{10} \: percent. \\ \\ \tt = \frac{11}{1} \times 5 \:percent . \\ \\ \tt = 11 \times 5 \: percent. \\ \\ \tt = 55 \: percent.

Therefore percentage pf students travelled by their own = 55 percent.
