❄❄❄❄ HAVE A LOOK ❄❄❄❄

➡ A convex mirror is a type of spherical mirror whose reflecting surface is curved outwards.

➡ The focal length of a spherical mirror is equal to half of its radius of curvature, i.e.,

f = R/2

➡ A convex mirror always forms a virtual and erect (upright) image.

➡ For a spherical mirror there is a mirror formula. If the object distance is "u", image distance is "v" and focal length is ''f'', then :-

1/f = 1/u + 1/v

==================================

Given,

✔ Radius of Curvature (R) = 60 cm.

✔ Focal length (f) = R/2 = 60/2 = 30 cm.(Positive)

✔ u (object distance) = 10 cm (negative)

✔ v (position/distance of image) = ?

From relation,
1/u + 1/v = 1/f
=> 1/(-10) + 1/v = 1/30
=> 1/30 + 1/10 = 1/v
=> (1+3)/30 = 1/v
=> 4/30 = 1/v
=> 4v = 30
=> v = 30/4 = 7.5 cm

Thus, the image will form at a distance 3.75 cm behind the mirror.
