electrolysis is the process which follow the steps are

1)breaking down in to ion

2)migration of ion anion toward anode and cation towards cathode

3)decomposition of ion

2)electrolytic refining is define as the process of refining a metal in which impure are kept in anode and metal refineed is devompose in cathode

3) difference between electrolysis and electro refining are

the passes of current in electro refining is not discontiuous and steady .for better result.but in electrolysis no need

b)in electrolysis cathode and anode no need to kept metal which is use in electrolyte but in refining we kept impure metal at anode .
