Let us assume these values are AP and from the question

a₁ = (a-b)²             a₂ = (a²+b²)               a₃ = (a+b)²

We know that, In AP              (assumption)

   d ⇒  a₂ - a₁ = a₃ - a₂

And substituting these values,

(a²+b²) - (a-b)² = (a+b)² - (a²+b²)

a² + b² - (a² - 2ab + b²) = a² + 2ab + b² - (a² + b²)

a² + b² - a² + 2ab - b² = a² + 2ab + b² - a² - b²

(cancelling positive and negative terms)

2ab = 2ab

As both sides are equal this shows our assumption as correct,

Hence they form an AP

☺ Hope this Helps
