As, ratio areas of two similar is equal to the square of their adjacent sides

 \frac{6}{ar.(abc)}  =  \frac{1}{9}

==>Ar(∆ABC)=54 sq. units

Now, as;

area of quad. PBCQ=Ar(∆ABC)–Ar(APQ)

Ar. (PBCQ)=54– 6=48 sq. units
