1) u can divide it into a rectangle and a triangle
2) seperating an irregular figure into goemetrical figures helps us to calculate it's area or perimeter as geometrical figures have certain formulas to calculate their area or perimeter.

3) u can draw a rectangle. from one vertex mark a slanting line which will give u a triangle and a parallelogram.
