rationalise the denominators:
2*(rt5 - rt3)/(rt5+rt3)*(rt5-rt3) + (rt3-rt2)/(rt3+rt2)*(rt3-rt2) - 3*(rt5-rt2)/(rt5+rt2)*(rt5-rt2)
= 2*(rt5-rt3)/2 + rt3-rt2 - 3*(rt5-rt2)/3
= rt5-rt3 + rt3-rt2 - rt5+rt2 = 0
2*(rt5 - rt3)/(rt5+rt3)*(rt5-rt3) + (rt3-rt2)/(rt3+rt2)*(rt3-rt2) - 3*(rt5-rt2)/(rt5+rt2)*(rt5-rt2)
= 2*(rt5-rt3)/2 + rt3-rt2 - 3*(rt5-rt2)/3
= rt5-rt3 + rt3-rt2 - rt5+rt2 = 0
