Hi friend,
1/2+√3+√7
Rationalising factor = 2+√3-√7
= 1/2+√3+√7 × 2+√3-√7/2+√3-√7
= 2+√3-√7/[(2+√3)²-(√7)²]
= 2+√3-√7/[2²+√3²+2(2)(√3) - 7]
= 2+√3-√7/[4+3+4√3-7]
= 2+√3-√7/(7-7+4√3)
= 2+√3-√7/4√3
The denominator is still irrational.
So, we have to rationalise it further.
Now, rationalising factor = √3
= (2+√3-√7)(√3)/(4√3)(√3)
= 2√3+3-√21/4(√3)²
= (2√3+3-√21)/12
Hope it helps
