if u produce D to meet AC at P such that EF II DP the EF=2DP (mid point theorem) ---------(1)
Also in triangle BFC , DP II BF. And BF=2DP.--------(2)

Thus, from 1 n 2  BF=4EF.
BF-EF=4EF-EF
BE=3EF
