Pls help what is the meanjng of successive crest ? Tomorrow is my exam

Wavelength is the distance between one peak next to other.. Crest is at top in the wave.trough at bottom.

Light is measured by its wavelength (in nanometers) or frequency (in Hertz). One wavelength. equals the distance between two successive wave crests or troughs.
