Step-by-step explanation:

(2x-3)

f(x)=2x-3=0

=2x=3

=x=3/2

p(x)=2x^4+x^3-8x^2-x+6

p(3/2)=2(3/2)^4+(3/2)^3-8(3/2)^2-(3/2)+6

=2(81/16)+(27/8)-8(9/4)-(3/2)+6

=162/16+27/8-72/4-3/2+6

=162+54-288-24+96/16

=216-288-24+96/16

=-72-24+96/16

=-96+96/16

=0/16

=0

Hence proved that (2x-3) is a factor of 2x^4+x^3-8x^2-x+6....
