1.The prices of a bike and T.V are in the ratio 3:2. If the bike costs 6000 A.E.D. Find the price of T.V.

2. Ali and his sister’s ages are in the ratio 5 :4. If Ali is 45 years old, How old is his sister?

3. In a school library, the ratio of French books to that of Arabic books is 4 : 5. If there are 384 French books, find the number of Arabic books in the library.

1) bike:tv

3:2

6000:?

so 3 parts =6000

then 1 part=6000/3=2000

then price of tv= 2000×2=4000rs

2) Ali: Ali sister

5:4

Ali age=45 yrs

so, 5parts=45

then 1part=45/5=9yrs

here,Ali sister age is 4 parts,then

4×9=36 yrs

3). French books: Arabic books

4:5

French books=384

that means 4 parts=384

then 1 part is = 384/4=96 books

so, no of Arabic books=5×96=480 books
