Answer:

1. n(A-B) = n(A) = 10

n(B-A) = n(B) = 14

n(AUB) = 28

n(AUB) = n(A) + n(B) - n(AnB)

28=10+14 - n(AnB)

so,n(AnB)= 4

correct option is (d).

2. since, x,y€ N

and the values of y is range

so ,let us put the values of x to get the values of y

on putting values of x as 1 then we get 12

similarly on putting values of x as 2 , we get 8 and on putting values of x as 3 we get 7.

since , 7 is not present in any set of the given options except option (b), and also 8 and 12 comes under option (b).

so, the correct option is (b).
