be an integral part of our existence I completely agree with this statement compassion means having sympathy for others , being sensitive towards others 'problem. In this play 'A bad dream ' Mr.Hill was not at all sensitive about his cook Anni and wanted her to resign from her job.He did not understand that where would that lady go ,who has spent her entire life time serving him sincerely. Anyone can be in that situation anytime. Mr.Hill realises this situation through the dream that he had .He got the lesson that we should be compassionate towards others.

Dear Diary
It was really a terrible day. The unpleasant dream in which I was asked to resign completely shook me, changed me altogether .Oh God! what I was thinking ,I wanted to dismiss Anni.I asked her to resign as she embarrassed me before my guests. Poor lady ,now I realise how wrong I was ! Ishould have been more considerate towards her. We will keep a new cook to assist her and she like a family member will continue her work in our house. Oh God! Forgive me for what I thought.
