Solution →

Given that

  • A can do work in x days
  • B can do same work in 2x days
  • Both can complete together in x²/6 days

Now we know that A and B can together complete task =

 \frac{d1 \times d2}{d1 + d2}  \\

Here d1 = x and d2 = 2x

Putting value of d1 and d2 here ,

 \frac{x(2x)}{x + 2x}  =   \frac{ {x}^{2} }{6}  \\

 \frac{2 {x}^{2} }{3x}  =  \frac{ {x}^{2} }{6}  \\

12 {x}^{2}  = 3 {x}^{3}  \\

4x². = x³

4 =  \frac{ {x}^{3} }{ {x}^{2} }  \\

4. = x .
