Hey .....

Let see your answer

LHS = 12: 18

= 12/18

HCF of 12 and 18 is 6

On dividing both terms by 6 we get

 \frac{12}{18} = \frac{12 \div 6}{18 \div 3} = \frac{2}{3}

2/3 = 2: 3

RHS =8:12

= 8/ 12

HCF of 8 and 12 is 4

On dividing both terms by 4 we get

 \frac{8}{12} = \frac{8 \div 4}{12 \div 4} = \frac{2}{3}
2/3 = 2:3

LHS= RHS
