given equations are,

  • 3x/5- 2y/3= -1

on taking the lcm, we have,

9x-10y=-15 ...eq.1

  • 2x/5+y/3=4

on taking the lcm. we have,

6x+5y= 60....eq2

now, on multiplying eq 1 with6 and eq 2 with9,

  • 54x-60y=-90 ---eq3
  • 54x+45y=540 ---eq4

now, substract eq 4 from eq 3

  • 54x-60y=-90
  • 54x+45y=540

____________

  • -105y=-630
  • -y=-630/105
  • y=6

now, substitute the value of y in eq3

54x-60 (6)=-90

54x=-90+360

54c=270

x=270/54

x= 5

therefore, the values of x and y are 5& 6 respectively.
