AB || CD , so 65° = x + 20° as 65° and ( x + 20 )° are alternate angles.

65° = ( x + 20 )°

65° - 20° = x

45° = x

x + 20° = 45 + 20° = 65°

Angle which is a linear pair of x  is equal to y as EF || CD and y and that angle are alternate angles.

180° - x° = y

180° - 45° = y

135° = y

Therefore, x = 45° and y = 135°

\:

Abhishek777: y and x are supplementary
Abhishek777: or y+x = 180°
abhi569: Angle which is a linear pair of x + 20 is equal to y as it is alternate angle to y
Abhishek777: coz they are interior angles on the same side of the transversal
Abhishek777: HOW ?
Abhishek777: these two angles lie on two different transversals
abhi569: wait
Abhishek777: hmm
abhi569: done :-)
Abhishek777: ^_^

the solution is in the attachment as I had done it in paper
and

Name the points where the transversal intersects AF as G, BE as H and CD as I
And the point on which y lies as O

Hope this helps please mark me as brainliest thnx

*This will be the solution only if the lines AB||BE and BE||CD

Abhishek777: and see the naming of the points may differ from ur diagram so plz check from my diagram which is drawn on the paper
