Putting values of x and y in 2x+3y-5=0

2(2k+8/k+1) + 3 (k-9/k+1) -5 =0

4k+16+3k-27/k+1 = 5

7k-11/k+1 = 5

7k-11 = 5k+5

7k-5k = 5+11

2k = 16

k = 8
