14.i) Squeezing a lemon-When we squeeze a lemon, force is applied by our fingers on the lemon. This results in the change in the shape of the lemon.

ii) Taking out paste from a toothpaste tube-When we press the toothpaste our fingers are used to exert force on toothpaste tube. This results in change in shape of toothpaste tube.

iii) A lump of dough on a plate-The Action of Force results in Change in Shape because when you press a lump of dough in downward direction with your hands then its shape will be changed but there will be no change in its state of motion.

iv) Hit a ball by a cricket player with bat-when the ball is hit by a bat the ball changes it's direction of motion due to the impact of force.

v) Brakes is applied to moving car-When a force is applied to the brakes of a vehicle, there is work done by the friction between the brakes and the wheel. This reduces the kinetic energy of the vehicle, slowing it down and causing the temperature of the brakes to increase. A greater braking force produces a greater deceleration .
