p/h = 1/2

p (perpendicular) = 1

h (hypotenuse) = 2

using Pythagoras theorem :-

H^2 = p^2 + b^2

2^2 = 1^2 + b^2

4 = 1 + b^2

4-1 = b^2

√3 = b (base)

cot Φ = b/p

cot Φ = √3/1 = √3

now putting the values in question :-

(3 * (√3)^2+ 3)

3*3+3 = 9+3 = 12

so answer is option 'A' = 12
