☆ Divisibility Rules :

A number Is said to be divisible by another number , If the quotient obtained is an integer and remainder becomes Zero (0)

Now lets see the divisibility tests rules along with the examples:

➡ Divisibility test for 2 :

♤ A number is divisible by 2 , If The last digit is 0,2,4,6 or 8 .

Eg, ♢ 168 is divisible by 2, since the last digit is 8.

➡ Divisibility test for 3;

♧ A number is divisible by 3 , If the sum of the digits is divisible by 3.

Eg., ♢ 168 is divisible by 3, since the sum of the digits is 15 , ie, (1+6+8), and 15 is divisible by 3.

➡Divisibility test for 4 :

♧ A number is divisible by 4 , If the number formed by the last two digits is divisible by 4 .

E.g.,♢ 316 is divisible by 4 since 16 is divisible by 4.

➡ Divisibility test for 5:

♧ A number is divisible by 5 , if the last digit either 0 or 5.

E.g.., ♢ wot is divisible by 5 since the last digit Is 5 .

➡Divisibility test for 6:

♧ A number is divisible by 6 , If its division by 2 and 3 .

E.g.., ♢ 168 is divisible by 6 since it is divisible by 2 and 3.

➡ Divisibility test for 7:

♧ A number is divisible by 7 when last digit of the number, doubling it and then subtracting the doubled number from the remaining number. If its divisible then its divisible by 7.

E.g., 490 is divisible by 7.

➡ Divisibility test for 8 :

♧ A number is divisible by 8 if the number formed by the last three digits is divisible by 8.

E.g 7120 is divisible by 8 since the last three digits is divisible by 8.

➡ Divisibility test for 9:

♧ A number is divisible by 9, If the sum of the digits is divisible by 9.

E.g.. 549 is divisible by 9 since the sum of the digits is 18 a is divisible by 9.

➡ Divisibility test for 10:

♧A number Is divisible by 10,if the last digit Is 0.

eg 1560 is divisible by 10.

Note:

♡ Number 1 is divisible by all numbers.
