KATHMANDU is a vivid, mercenary and religious place. In this chapter the author tells about his experience of the capital of Nepal. He visited The Pashupatinath Temple which have a sign saying entrance for Hindus only and he see there hurried activities. There was utter confusion and noise. The devotees were elbowing each other and monkeys were chasing each other. He also tells about the belief of the people about Kalyug. He also visited the Buddhist Shrine there. He saw a huge white dome which was ringed by a road. He says that there is a scene of stillness means peace. There are many shops on its outer edge which are owned by Tibetan immigrants and these shops sell silver jewellery, Tibetan prints etc.

He also saw the markets of Kathmandu which were on the narrow streets and the shops sell here chocolates, film rolles, copper utensils, Nepalese antiques etc. He then saw a flute seller and describe him briefly and tells that he just forgets the whole world when he listen to music.
