First, let's find the roots of the quadratic polynomial and equate it to α and β.
Given equation,
                                   x^2 - 5x + 4 = 0
                                 x^2 - x - 4x + 4 = 0
                               x ( x - 1 ) - 4 ( x - 1 ) = 0
                                 ( x - 1 ) ( x - 4 ) = 0
                                      x = 1 (or) 4

                                   α = 1 and β = 4

Now let's substitute α and β values in the given expression
              1/α + 1/β - 2αβ = 1/(1) + 1/(4) - 2(1)(4)
                                       = 1 + 0.25 - 8
                                       = -7 + 0.25
                                       = - 6.75

∴ The value of 1/α + 1/β - 2αβ = - 6.75.

Hope my answer helps you..
