Kados, also spelled Karos, Kharoos, usually means a person who is rude, self-fish and does not respond well to social activities. It is also used to describe proud or even anti-social people who might be deemed rude but are actually not accustomed to social gatherings.
In the sub-continent many 'grumpy' grandfathers are described as kharoos, such as the saying 'buddha karoos' to say an 'Old rude man'
