Explanation: Actually, oxygen rich blood and carbon dioxide rich blood don't mix in the heart because they are separated by a wall named septum. The oxygen rich blood enters the right atrium from pulmonary vein and carbon dioxide rich blood enters left atrium from Vena cavae............There should be balanced concentration of carbon dioxide and oxygen. If blood rich in both concentration gets mixed then this will disturb the human circulatory system as this will also combine carbon dioxide to combine with hemoglobin which leads to the formation of carbo hemoglobin..........hope it's helpful buddy
