Answer:

let ,5+x/5-x =y

therefore ,

  • y -1/y= 15/4
  • ( y ) square -1/y =15/4. ( L.c.m)
  • (y)square -1 = 15y/4
  • 4((y) square -1 ) = 15y
  • ( 4y) square -4 =15y
  • (4y) square -15y -4 =0
  • (4y)2 -15y -4=0
  • (4y)2 -16y +y -4
  • ((4y) 2 -16y) +(y -4)
  • 4y(y -4) +1(y-4)
  • (4y+1) (y -4)
  • y = -1/4 , 4

in case 1 (y=4)

5+x /5-x =4

5+x = 4(5-x)

5+x = 20 -4x

4x +x = 20-5

5x= 15

x=15/5

x=3

in case 2 (y =-1/4)

5+x=-1(5-x)/4

4(5+x)=-1(5-x)

20 +4x = x -5

4x-x = -5-20

3x = -25

x = -25/3
