Given, sum of the numbers = 24

a + 2a + 6 = 24

3a = 24 - 6

3a = 18

$a = \frac{18}{3} \\ \\ \\ \boxed{ \: a = 6}$





Hence, numbers are

a = 6

2a + 6

=> 2( 6 ) + 6

=> 12 + 6

=> 18
