Answer:

1.The minerals contained in the rocks react with the gases and moisture in the air like oxygen reacts with iron and causes the rocks to rust and get eroded. Human activities affect weathering.

2.Humans cause increases in acid rain and pollution, which increase the amount of weathering agents in the air and water, and then on land. ... Other activities such as strip-mining and agriculture can affect the ability of the land to absorb rain, increase erosion and run-off, and increase chemicals in the groundwater.

3. Water gets into cracks and joints in bedrock. When the water freezes it expands and the cracks are opened a little wider. Over time pieces of rock can split off a rock face and big boulders are broken into smaller rocks and gravel.

4.Topsoil consists of most weathered mineral and organic material. Biological agents are also responsible for the breakdown of complex organic matter which releases simple nutrients. This process of mineralisation make soil fertile.

5.Improved soil quality and productivity. Reduced erosion. Increased water infiltration and storage. Improved air and water quality.
