6)To get the area covered by the roads we need to keep in mind that the length of the roads will depend on the side of the field they lie parallel to.
For the two roads lying parallel to the width we have :2×2×32=128m2
For the one lying parallel to the length we have : 2×94=188
The total area of the field is=94×32=3008m2
i)Total area covered by roads =128+188=316m2
ii) The area not covered =3008-316=2692m2
5)It's a square so, the length of path inside would be equal to that of square's
So, ar of of path = ar of big square -ar of small square
Side of big square = x(let)
Side of small square = x-4-4=x-8
So, 320=x²-(x-8)²
320=x²-(x²+64-16x)
320=x²-x²-64+16x
320+64/16=x
x=24
Now side of small square = 24-8=16
So area of small square i. e. Lawn =16²=256m²
