The path length = AB + AC = l + l = 2l
The displacement is shortest distance between A and C so displacement = AC
As angle between two vectors is 90 so resultant vector is √(A² + B² + 2cosФ)
= √(l² +l² + cos 90 )
= √2l² + 0
= √2l²
